“Supacell Season 1” is created by Rapman, also known as Andrew Onwubolu. You might know him from “Blue Story” and “Shiro’s Story.” Rapman not only wrote the series but also directed and produced it. He worked with Mouktar Mohammed and Henrietta Lee from New Wave.

Anne Mensah, Netflix’s vice president of U.K. series, shared her excitement about the show, saying it builds on the success of other popular British series like “The Crown” and “Sex Education.”

What is Supacell Season 1 All About?

“Supacell Season 1” is a sci-fi superhero series. It tells the story of a group of ordinary people from South London who suddenly develop superpowers. These people don’t know each other, and the only thing they have in common is that they are all Black. The series shows how these characters deal with their new abilities and their impact on their lives.

Rapman explained that “Supacell Season 1” is different from other superhero shows. He said, “It’s a superpower drama about normal people, real people, not people that are martyrs, not people that are going to save the world, just people that try to save themselves and their families.”
