Hey there, folks. It’s with a heavy heart that we share some concerning news about country-rap sensation Colt Ford. The 53-year-old musician suffered a heart attack on Thursday night, right after wrapping up a performance at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona.
Reports say Colt was quickly rushed over to Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, where he’s currently under intensive care. Our thoughts and prayers are with him for a speedy recovery.
For those not familiar with Colt Ford, let me fill you in. Hailing from Athens, Georgia, this guy’s a true southern gem. He’s made quite the name for himself as a multi-platinum singer-songwriter, and his impact on the music scene is undeniable.
One of his most notable claims to fame is recording Jason Aldean’s hit track “Dirt Road Anthem,” which has racked up a staggering 927 million streams worldwide. Yeah, you read that right.
Colt burst onto the scene back in 2008 with his album “Ride Through the Country,” and from there, he never looked back. Fast forward to 2019, and he’s notched up five consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Talk about making waves!
His album “Declaration of Independence” even snagged the top spot in 2012, and “Thanks for Listening” wasn’t far behind, hitting the Top 10 of the Top 200 charts. And let’s not forget his track “Back” featuring Jake Owen, which climbed its way into the Top 40 on the Hot Country Songs Chart. Impressive, right?
But Colt’s not just about the music. He’s a fighter in every sense of the word. Despite battling health issues like eye cancer and Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease, he’s continued to pour his heart and soul into his craft.
And did you know he was once a pro golfer on the Nationwide Tour? Yeah, this guy’s got more than a few talents up his sleeve.
Right now, Colt’s latest album “Must Be The Country” is out there, featuring a whopping 24 tracks with some killer collaborations. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re seriously missing out.
